Introduction To Design Across Mediums

This semester we will explore, discover, and practice new ways to design across multiple mediums,
with a specific focus on interactivity and motion graphic design. As a group we will examine trends, analyze examples, and study the concepts and theories behind both successes and failures in the digital world. We will work on breaking down the fundamentals and principles behind both interactivity and time based design, while embracing our current knowledge of design and typography. Projects will be concept oriented and will encourage students to be thoughtful, expressive, and innovative. Through out the semester, exercises, projects, readings, and discussions will provide the opportunity to explore design in a new way, while refining visual and personal communication skills.
